About the Artist

Bright as yellow… what I feel when I am doing what I love. For as long as I can remember I was always a good drawer, it’s not until I felt the need to express myself with color, texture and different mediums that I began to emerge a painter. Drawing from nature’s beauty and the wonderment of the human form begins the journey of my inspiration. Building on my spirituality and social issues my paintings take shape with bold, colorful brush strokes, and the play of light and shadow.

What I like best about painting is creating something that is unique and evokes emotion that I can share with other people. Seeing the reaction to my work gives me a sense of joy, it’s sort of like my own style or fingerprint left to be appreciated.

A bit of a world traveler, studying throughout Europe expanded my knowledge for some of the most famous works ever done by artists.  One memorable experience… When in Rome, on an early weekday morning, visiting the church of San Pietro in Vincoli (St. Peter in Chains) to see the tomb of Julius II. Where the statue of Michelangelo's Moses is housed, I was so overcome with awe, and emotion because of its captivating appearance that when I took a picture it came out blurry.
My hands were shaking, and as I looked around I realized no one else was around except for a random cat.

Amazing stuff in Europe, but lets not forget the American West some amazing treasures; vacations there are always fill me with inspiration. My musical tastes run the gamut with an appreciation for all genres, with my favorite sit down and chill music being The Innocence Mission.
